Creality Hyper PLA (Snapmaker PLA SnapSpeed)

0.08 High Quality  (.4 Nozzle)

Pre-settings

  • Split up the object to it's different glasses
  • Rotate the glasses 90 degrees such that the ear pieces are horizontal

Quality

  • Ironing all top surfaces
  • Ironing flow 15% (set higher than default)

Speed

  • ironing speed 20 mm/s (set slower than default)
  • first layer 25mm/s (set slower than default)
  • first layer infill 25 mm/s (set slower than default)
  • number of slow layers 2

Other

  • Brim Type Mouse Ears
  • Brim width 3mm (less than 5mm default)

Support

  • enable support
  • remove small overhangs - UNCHECK! (FALSE! - Enable small overhangs)

Tree Supports

  • Tip Diameter 0.5mm (less)
  • Tree support branch diameter 1mm (less)
  • Branch Diameter angle 2 (less)

 

Masking tape on plate sometimes help with making sure things stick, but becomes a pain to remove.

Instructions For Glasses Insertion:
Gently insert the toothpick between the Black TPU (soft foam) and the PLA face above or below where you insert the ear piece.  Then with the tooth pick creating a space between the Black TPU and PLA, gently insert one ear piece 1/4-1/2 way between the TPU and PLA.  Remove the tooth pick and re insert the toothpick as before between the Black TPU (soft foam) and PLA face above or below the other eye (same face side).  Again gently insert the other ear piece 1/4-1/2 way in the space created by the inserted toothpick.  Now with both ear pieces partly inserted, remove the toothpick and gently push the ear pieces completely in.
